The ever-popular Edelrid Cable Kit has had some minor updates to make it even better than before. The 6.0 version still resembles the same classic and compact Via Ferrata kit we are used to but now conforms to the latest European safety standards, reducing the impact force up to 30%, so it is safer than ever. The most noticeable difference is that Edelrid has managed to shave off 50g in weight and reduce the size of the shock absorber by 50%, making it the smallest kit on the market, offering less restriction and more freedom of movement.
Featuring the "One-Touch II" carabiner system that prevents fingers from getting pinched between the carabiner gate and the steel cables, the Cable Kit 6.0 also has wear-resistant, elasticated webbing that ensures durability and a secure and comfortable Via Ferrata experience.
Inside the shock absorber, there is a care label with clear instructions on how to inspect the device to ensure it is safe to use. There is also a warning marker that can be clearly identified by a red thread. If a substantial amount of stress has been put on the kit, the red thread will show through and you should retire the kit.
